Family vacation in Salon-de-Provence
Got a stay in Salon-de-Provence coming up? Book your room in one of our Première Classe hotels and make the most of a weekend exploring. The town center is home to several architectural gems that are worth a closer look. The Église Saint-Michel, Collégiale Saint Laurent, clock tower and gateway, and countless fountains take you on a journey through Provençal traditions. To rest and refresh, the Parc de la Légion d'Honneur and Parc du Pigeonnier are both beautiful places to spend a while — and only a few minutes from your hotel.
Here for a whole week for business or pleasure? Stroll through the town center in search of its iconic landmarks, like the clock tower and gateway. We also recommend a visit to the Musée de l'Empéri, located in the château of the same name, and the Maison de Nostradamus. Hiking trails also start close to your hotel that crisscross the Tallagard massif, for some truly stunning walks. A week’s stay in one of our affordable hotels in Aix-en-Provence or Marseille will give you the chance to explore even more of the beaches and gourmet food of the south of France.
With a getaway to Salon-de-Provence, your kids will have as much fun as you. There are all sorts of family-friendly activities there. Royal kids (karting, slides, a ball pit and more) and Accro Passion (a treetop adventure course) are perfect playgrounds where everyone can do their own thing and have the best time. To awaken their curiosity with a bit of fun, the Château de l'Empéri and hikes in the Massif du Tallagard are both great options. Don’t forget that Marseille and Aix-en-Provence are also within easy reach of your Première Classe hotel room.

A gastronomic stay in Salon-de-Provence
Gourmet guys and girls, get ready for Provençal cuisine to bring your senses alive. After breakfast at your Première Classe hotel, walk straight into the all-encompassing caress of the aromas of southern French cooking. With land on one side and sea on the other, Salon-de-Provence has a number of traditional culinary specialties. The bouillabaisse is a must-try. This fish stew is traditionally accompanied by garlic-rubbed croutons and a rouille sauce. Tapenade, pistou soup and aïoli will take your taste buds on a journey like no other. Make sure to take home some of the famous Aix calissons as a souvenir.

Did you know?
Salon-de-Provence is still home to two working soap factories: Marius Fabre and Rampal Latour. You can even visit them to see how their all-natural products are made. The Marius Fabre soap factory even has a soap museum: the Musée du Savon de Marseille. At Rampal Latour, meanwhile, visitors are invited to explore both its old and new factory floors. Both sites also have stores, where you can find the delicately-fragranced soap so typical of Provence.
